PUPPIES
We offer three puppy classes suitable for youngsters from 14 weeks of age:
THE PUPPY STARTER COURSE which runs for 5 weeks serves as a gentle introduction to training. There are no expectations in terms of handler experience, and it is suitable for puppies with little or no previous training. The course covers all the basics, sit, down, stand, leadwork, recall, care and responsibilities of dog ownership. toilet training and common behavioural problems. Cost £45 plus £5 Society 2026 membership.
Mondays 5:30 – 6:15pm with courses starting on 5 January 2026 or 9th February, 2026 (no classes on 16th February - half term)
THE PUPPY FOUNDATION COURSE which also runs for 5 weeks is suitable for puppies from 14 weeks of age but less than 1 year of age by the end of the course and assumes some experience of previous training, e.g. attendance on the Puppy Starter Course. It builds on the skill set offered in that course, but also covers handling and inspection to maintain health, food manners, taking articles away from your puppy and common behavioural problems associated with the growing puppy and young dog. The course offers continuous assessment for the Puppy Foundation Award with a certificate and rosette given to successful participants on completion. Cost £45 plus £5 Society 2026 membership.

COMBINED PUPPY STARTER AND PUPPY FOUNDATION COURSE. This runs for 10 weeks: 5 weeks in the Puppy Starter Course followed by 5 weeks in the Puppy Foundation Course. The two courses can be taken in one single term (Spring, Summer or Autumn) or with the Puppy Foundation component taken in the next term. Booking the Combined Course offers a financial saving. Cost £80 plus £5 Society 2026 membership.
