KC GCDS SILVER LEVEL TRAINING WORKING TOWARDS EXCELLENCE
The KC GCD Silver course ,which is 10-weeks long, is suitable for experienced handlers and their dogs over 1 year old. They must provide evidence that they have already received the KC GCDS Bronze Award. The Silver Award is all about honing the skills developed in the Bronze Award and building confidence through increased levels of difficulty. It improves dog training skills whilst introducing additional challenges such as vehicle control and walking next to roads. We run this course alongside the KC GCDS Gold Award as we recognise that there is considerable overlap in the base if not the level of difficulty in some of the exercises. Cost £80 plus £5 Society 2026 membership.
Weeks 1-10 on Mondays 8:00-9:00pm.
Next course starts on 5 January 2026. PLEASE NOTE: This course is not run every term
KC GCDS GOLD LEVEL TRAINING – REACHING FOR THE STARS
The KC GCDS Gold course, which is 10-weeks long, is the highest level of achievement for the scheme. It requires advanced level skills from both handler and dog. Those who receive the Gold Award are celebrated as ambassadors demonstrating how well-trained social dogs contribute positively to the community in which they live. The Gold Award exercises build on and extend the demands of the Silver exercises, with dogs performing the relaxed settle, stopping in mid recall, and being sent away to a bed at some distance. We run this course alongside the KC GCDS Gold Award as we recognise that there is considerable overlap in the base if not the difficulty in some of the exercises. Cost £80 plus £5 Society 2026 membership.
Weeks 1-10 on Mondays 8:00-9:00pm.
